There are three variations of the game within the app each with their own exciting challenges:

Poker Square Stud – This is the version of the game that is included for free when you download the app. You place cards in a 5 by 5 grid with each row and each column scored as a poker hand. There is no opportunity to exchange cards so the strategy comes from the way you place the cards on the grid and the luck of the cards you get from the deck.

Poker Square Draw – In this version of the game the amount of strategy involved is significantly increased by allowing you to replace up to 5 cards from the completed grid.

Poker Square Texas Hold’em – This version emulates the popular poker variant of Texas Hold’em where each row and column are the flop cards and you get to select two cards for your hold cards that are used with each row and column to make the best 5 card hand that you can. The extra strategy involved presents the maximum possible challenge.
